Hymn
1. ’Tis good, Lord, to be here!
Thy glory fills the night;
Thy face and garments, like the sun,
Shine with unborrowed light.
2. ’Tis good, Lord, to be here,
Thy beauty to behold;
Where Moses and Elijah stand,
Thy messengers of old.
3. Fulfiller of the past,
Promise of things to be,
We hail thy body glorified,
And our redemption see.
4. Before we taste of death,
We see thy kingdom come;
We fain would hold the vision bright,
And make this hill our home.
5. ’Tis good, Lord, to be here!
Yet we may not remain;
But, since thou bidst us leave the mount
Come with us to the plain.

THE GRADUAL
Psalm 2 Why do the nations so furiously rage together: and why do the peoples imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth stand up, and the rulers take counsel together: against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bonds asunder: and cast away their cords from us. He that dwelleth in heaven shall laugh them to scorn: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath: and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my King: upon my holy hill of Sion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee. Desire of me, and I shall give thee the nations for thine inheritance : and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt bruise them with a rod of iron: and break them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be admonished, ye that are judges of the earth. Serve the Lord in fear: and rejoice unto him with reverence. Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and so ye perish from the right way, if his wrath be kindled, yea but a little: blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

During this hymn a collection of money is made for charity. If you would like to donate online, click here.
1. Soul of my Saviour, sanctify my breast,
Body of Christ, be thou my saving guest,
Blood of my Saviour, bathe me in thy tide,
Wash me with water flowing from thy side.
2. Strength and protection may thy passion be,
O blessèd Jesu, hear and answer me;
Deep in thy wounds, Lord, hide and shelter me,
So shall I never, never part from thee.
3. Guard and defend me from the foe malign,
In death’s dread moments make me wholly thine;
Call me and bid me come to thee on high
Where I may praise thee with thy saints for aye.

The LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.
The Celebrant breaks the bread and says
The bread which we break is a sharing in the body of Christ.
We, being many, are one body, for we all share in the one bread.

Motet
Let us now laud and magnify with music of concord the Father, the Son, and Holy Ghost, one ever living Lord. With tuned notes that sweetly sound to praise our heavenly king, with cheerful hearts, with pleasant voice, on this wise let us sing: Glory be to the Trinity, one God and persons three; as it is now and ever was, and evermore shall be. Amen.

HYMN
1. King of glory, King of peace,
I will love thee;
And, that love may never cease,
I will move thee.
Thou hast granted my request,
Thou hast heard me;
Thou didst note my working breast,
Thou hast spared me.
2. Wherefore with my utmost art
I will sing thee,
And the cream of all my heart
I will bring thee.
Though my sins against me cried,
Thou didst clear me,
And alone, when they replied,
Thou didst hear me.
3. Seven whole days, not one in seven,
I will praise thee;
In my heart, though not in heaven,
I can raise thee.
Small it is, in this poor sort,
To enrol thee;
E’en eternity’s too short
To extol thee.
George Herbert (1593–1632) Joseph Jones (1827–70)
The Celebrant says the
BLESSING
After which, all say Amen.
The Deacon and Choir sing the
Dismissal
